Below you will find our step-by-step guide to how we approach refinishing your bathtub. The process is quite similar for countertop and tile refinishing services as well.
We clean the tub and remove the old porcelain paint finish.
We etch your bathtub with a specially-formulated etching gel and will deep clean the tub and remove the glossy layer that exists.
Any and all areas that are worn, scratched, or chipped will be sanded down until completely smooth. We will make sure that there is no water flow or drips to the tub, as this can affect the results.
Our team of professional techs will place a mask around your tub and cover up all areas that will NOT be refinished.
Once ready, our techs will start by spraying on two coats of primer. We use a specially-formulated, heavy-duty primer that is designed to be used in the bathtub.
The next step our techs will take is to spray the tub with three coats of a synthetic porcelain. This is one of the most important steps in the process and we take special care to use a chemical that bonds well and will provide the best look. Our acrylic polymer is a high gloss, which provides a natural look and feel.
We will clean up and remove all masking from around the tub and other areas.
